No Public Money for Gas

Tish travelled to the other side of the world to attend COP26 in Glasgow. As a proud Kulkalaig woman from Masig Island, Kulkalgal Nation, Zenadth Kes (Torres Strait Islands), Tish travelled all that way for her people and to stand up for First Nations people, calling on our political leaders to do more to protect us from the climate impacts we are already facing.

Will you stand with Tish and First Nations communities all across the country who are demanding the Morrison government leave their climate wrecking gas plans in the ground?

Not only did the Scott Morrison arrive at COP with no real climate policy, but the Morrison government even announced plans to expand Australia’s oil and gas industries, and then went on to allow Santos (you know, the huge gas company who wants to frack for gas in the Beetaloo Basin) to use Australia’s official pavilion at COP to promote its business.

And despite all that, the Morrison Government has poured $50 million of public money into fracking gas fields across the Beetaloo Basin in the Northern Territory.

It's unacceptable and needs to stop. With your support we can make sure that we hold our political leaders accountable for their lack of climate action.
